The Chapin Junior Women’s Club (CJWC) offers a $1,500 Lee Wolfe Memorial Scholarship to a deserving high school senior based on their GPA, volunteer work and financial need.

In 2024, in celebration of our 10th year, the Chapin Junior Woman’s Club is excited to announce our “10 for 10” Scholarship Project. Ten additional $1,000 scholarships, covering a variety of categories, will be awarded to Chapin area students and residents this May. If applying by mail, applicants may enclose a self addressed postcard or send the packet with Delivery Confirmation to know the application was received. Mailed applications must be postmarked by April 15th. Applicants should be female, a senior in high school, and zoned for Chapin High. The scholarship winner will be notified no later than June 1. The CJWC Treasurer sends awards to the school after receiving Acceptance Forms signed by the winner and the school registrar.

EXERCISE SCIENCE MAJOR 

In celebration of CJWC member Allison, this scholarship will be awarded to a student who shares her passion and commitment to fitness as an Exercise Science Major.

TECH/TRADE SCHOOL STUDENT

This scholarship will be awarded to a student focused on a future in the trades such as electrician; HVAC; cosmetology; welding; plumbing; EMT, etc.

CHAPIN VISIONARY

Chapin is a growing community with a bright future. This scholarship will be awarded to the student that has bright ideas and a vision for their home town and the Chapin community.

 

WELL-ROUNDED STUDENT 

An education extends beyond the walls of the school; it includes the experiences had and the people encountered. This scholarship will be awarded to a student with solid grades and who participated in a variety of school and community activities.

HARD WORKING STUDENT

This scholarship will recognize a student that faced unique challenges during high school, such as financial responsibilities or family obligations, and had limited opportunity to participate in school & community activities.

RETURNING TO SCHOOL  

Life circumstances can delay the pursuit or completion of a degree. This scholarship will be given to someone returning to school following an interruption in studies.

HOMESCHOOLED/VIRTUAL LEARNING STUDENT 

CJWC recognizes that traditional schooling is not for everyone. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who took a different path to graduation as a homeschooled or virtual learning student.

PRIVATE COLLEGE STUDENT

This scholarship will be given to a student who will pursue a degree at a South Carolina private college or university.

CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENT 

This scholarship will provide continued funding for a rising college sophomore, junior or senior that is attending an SC college or university.
